You order the MyMonii card through the MyMonii app. If you haven't already downloaded the app, you can do so here.
To order the Visa card, we need the names of you and your child, your addresses and dates of birth. Likewise, we also ask you as a parent to verify yourself with a passport or driver's license to verify your identity.
Once you have ordered the MyMonii Visa card you can expect to receive the card within 14 days.
Before the MyMonii Visa card can be activated, we need to ensure the identity of the card user, who is the young person under 18 years of age. This is done by uploading a picture of the health insurance card in the app.
We use the health insurance card to check the child's name, address and age. We also check that there is a parent-child relationship between you.
We'll approve the ID as soon as possible, but it can take up to 1-2 working days. Once we have approved the ID, it will appear on the app.
It takes up to 1-2 working days for us to process the submitted ID.
Once you have received the Visa card, it must first be activated from the Parents app.
Open the app and find the MyMonii Visa card page. The Visa card is activated by entering the last four digits of the card number.
When activating the card, you will also be asked what the weekly spending limit is for the card.
Once you have received the Visa card, you can find the PIN for the card inside the app.
The PIN must be used the first time the card is used. Also, from time to time, the PIN may be required to be entered.
Some online purchases require a 3DS password for added security. This code can always be found in the app, as can the card's PIN.
